When the Mayor came to Town Hall...
Just as the group thought their fun time had come to an end at The Room, a very special visitor arrived to find out more about the great work of Skill Shop and the charitable causes who were assisting. Focus4Success and the Town Hall Foundation.
The Mayor of Calderdale at the moment is a wonderful lady, Dot Foster. Working with many charities over the borough, Dot is no stranger to helping to make things work.
When she arrived to the group meeting, many of the members had lots to ask, not just about her and her role as the Mayor of Calderdale, but also about the work she does for charity as well as how much the chain weighs and if it gives her back ache!
There's one thing for certain, Dot's visit did wonders to make the day of the Skill Shop group who had come to learn about dental hygiene, but left with a smile, a photo, skills and a goody-bag!
